The Rule of 3: TLR evaluates cards differently than standard Magic. For multi-part cards (Adventures, Split Cards, MDFCs), every face or spell on the card must independently meet the MV 3 limit.

The official digital platform. Requires purchasing cards and specific lobby settings to play correctly.

How to Play on MTGO

  1. Create a new game and select Freeform Commander as the format.
  2. Set the match to 2 Players (1v1).
  3. Allow watchers if you want to let others spectate.
  4. Important: Once the game starts, you must manually set your life total to 20 (MTGO defaults to 40).
  5. There is no commander damage in this mode, so you do not need to track it.
